UMD Shark Tank is a university-wide entrepreneurial competition where 6 finalists 

have the opportunity to pitch a 3-minute business idea or product to a panel of Duluth Business Professionals.

This event is open to all UMD students who have an innovative idea,

start up, or running company. The event will be held on Tuesday April 30th at the Marshall Performing Arts Center on UMD's campus. The judges will rank the top three contestants based upon their pitch, feasibility of the product, and market for the product. The top three contestants will be awarded scholarships to help fund their business ventures along with an audience choice award chosen by the audience.





First Place: $3,000
Second Place: $2,000
Third Place: $1,500
Audience’s Choice: $500
